Course Description:

Instructor-led course for 2 days on the Agile (iterative) development approach and will focus mainly on SCRUM basics. It will provide 16 PDUs to apply toward the PMP/PgMP credential maintenance.

This 2-day Agile/SCRUM  In-Depth course is an intense, fun, energized, and effective course that provides all of the knowledge you need to understand and implement an Agile approach to project management.  The class approach to Agile will focus mainly on SCRUM but will incorporate and review the other frequently used approaches.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the Agile and SCRUM terminology, concepts, and principles
  • Learn ways to adhere to Agile principles using various techniques for common team activities
  • Experience Agile SCRUM activities through hands-on, interactive exercises
  • Understand how to successfully start an Agile SCRUM project
  • Learn about the role of the SCRRM Master,  Product Owner, business analyst and developers on agile projects, and how to write user stories, which are the most common method of representing requirements
  • Learn techniques for building and managing a Product Backlog of user stories, and techniques for estimating and prioritizing requirements for releases and iterations
  • Understand how to utilize various mechanisms to track and access progress
